Which is where it should stay :D
Seriously though, why can't someone make one in white?

When customer is not too enthusiastic about a mag, we use these ones quite often. They do the job.

Dilalio really glad I seen this post, I change a pump on a logic during the week and used the filter to drain the boiler, when I went to pressurise there was no bleed point in the lid of the filter , I havent seen this before and it could have been the Grasslin one that you sent a link for , everything was working fine but filter was a bit noisy and customer didnt have the supplied large nut key key , i was just going to release the air by slackening the filter nut, I told customer that if it was still noisy next day to call me and I would go back with a key but havent heard from them so how do you bleed these ?

Glad it helped you.
I agree - they could do with a MAV at the top but I just use the cap if needed! I used a this mag the other day to dose the system with inhibitor - the grasslin drain off was very helpful ;)

Why can't someone make one that's see through? Makes total sense to me to make a clear filter. But so far I haven't seen any clear filters that I would touch with a bargepole

Took one off the other week that turned out to be clear - after I realised it was black through dirt!
Was it a Fernox? Can't remember! Had to be mounted horizontally as it had a 'whale's belly' sump and had Spring clips to hold it together... Was a POS but was ancient!

One of these?

I too have had the pleasure of coming across this abomination!

I tried to clean one of those damn things once.. After several cuts and 20mins I chucked it in the bin and changed it to a Spirotech with a tiny bit of pipe to make up the gap.
