Hi,
One for any heating engineers out there?
I have a Worcester Greenstar 18ri and the flow pipe elbow is leaking. This sits between the heat exchanger and the flow pipe, it has a syphon on the top.
I've taken the case off and spotted where the drip was coming from, when the system is up to pressure there is actually a fine jet of water coming out so I'm 99% sure it is this part.
I'm pretty diy savvy and have replaced pump, valve actuators, radiators etc. but as a rule I never tamper with the boiler.
However, I'm wondering if this part is easily and safely replaced?
The reason is if can't get a callout by friday, I'll need to do something before I go away on holiday for a week.
Thanks,
