C plan heating system multiple zones

I have a C plan heating system & I would like to have multiple zones, one for each room but I’m not sure about a few details.


Would I need more than one zone valve as I intend to use actuators on each radiator as there is one radiator in each room? When wiring the thermostats into the wiring center would the thermostats be wired in series so when one thermostat calls for heat the zone valve opens & the pump starts?

Wiring in series is a non starter already. Why not just use TRV's, not as precise but a hell of a lot easier!

Have you looked at the Evohome if you are really wanting to spend serious money?

What do you hope to achieve from this?

I meant parallel but wasn't thinking clearly when I posted (my bad) the intention is to be able to have heating controlled independently in each room as I have a lodger who tends to watch tv in his room on an evening but the thermostat is in the lounge, also I dont see the point in having the radiator pumping out heat in my bedroom while I'm downstairs or at work as I only need the room warm when I get up or go to bed.

I'm looking for a cheap alternative as Evohome is expensive & I intend to use Sonoff TH thermostat switches as they cost under £10 each & I can set what times I want them to power the actuators to allow flow to the radiator when the room is below a certain temperature. The Sonoff units work via cloud & my wifi. At the moment I have Owl Intuition controlling the heating system but thermostats are around £80 each
