is 12 years too old? should we replace combi boiler?

Wow the builder was a professional gas fitter as well?

Might as well have asked the cat!
Never said the builder did the swap himself, he used a local Corgi registered installer, whom he used on a regular bases when it came to any gas work. I have no idea why you even suggested that I could ask a cat. or did you mean a cut?

cats! Not a chance, perhaps a monkey might be trained to hang a boiler, but sure cats don't have limbs, they are lazy and rule the world.

Because the question was about getting a professional opinion and you chose to believe the builder.....

You mean like the ones they show on BBC on a program called Rip off Britain, where it puts one off seeking professional advise, or force selling, fake promises.
12 years is too old for Michael Jackson...
Too late I am afraid, he is in heaven with virgins! and amazingly this thread is all over like a headless chicken, so we have covered builders, boiler installers, cats and dogs and monkeys and now chickens! what next sausages!

in other words keep the boiler and change your wall paper!;)

(Get that boiler panel door and the leaky valve fixed)

just found out its a 105 HE ( on the gas safety check )

is that a good one?

ah the tape on the door! red herring! I taped the door up to remind me not to use it cos I had drained the system due to removing rads etc....
