I need to install a bidet system to my existing toilets.
The existing pipe need to be cut into and add a tjunction + then allow a single shower pipe head.

See below - the t adapter - what is this item called?

Thanks.

As above - these can't legally be fitted in the UK without some serious shenanigans with the plumbing in your house

OMG
I wouldn't want to break any health and safety rules.
Can you guys make more clear what the problem is?

Why isn't it allowed?
@newboy what's that device you gave in the picture. I'm sure you were joking while making a serious point?

Let me know. Thanks

There must be NO way that water from a toilet bowl or bidet bowl can ever get into the cold water supply. This ia to prevent toxins, bacteria and other hazards to health getting into the water supply of any taps.

The only way is to have a tank of water supplying the spray head and only the spray head. The supply to that tank must have an air break such that water from the supply drops throug free air into the tank with no possibility of water from the tank being sucked down the supply pipe if the water supply to the house fails.

It's a backflow issue OM2. If that douche ended up in the toilet and there was then a drop in mains pressure then that foul water could be drawn back into the cold mains, contaminating everyone's drinking water with what is basically raw sewage, not worth contemplating.

There are loads being sold and installed to or by certain ethnic groups that only use water to clean themselves as part of their faith though without the correct backflow protection as stipulated by the UK Water Regulations and as in newboys picture (mains isolated water supply). Shouldn't be allowed quite honestly but certain suppliers and fitters will make money anyway they can without any real comeback.
