Practising hanging a door and doing skirting?

Making two is your choice. I've only ever used one and I've never seen a joiner use two at the same time simply because you don't need two

This is the door I am going to take off and replace with a bigger door for practice. Will it be OK on the hinges of this door if they're taken on and off? Also the door I am gonna use is a bit thicker than the original one in picture so I guess just put hinges hanging over a bit to compensate?

Problem. The rebate on the insoide of the casing acts as a stop block. Normally you replace like for like with thickness if at all possible
