Swapping a 2 gang dimmer

I'm swapping out and old 2 gang dimmer for a standard 2 gang switch and I'm not familiar with the symbols on the old one. I believe L is the equivalent of COM, so that would presumably make the other symbol the same as 1WAY on the new switch?

Yes. label the reds before disconnecting them. And preferable add a red sleeve onto that black wire as it is a Live ( Switched Live ) wire.

Red tape, if you have any, would be better than nothing for a 'temporary' measure (provided you don't let that 'temporary' become permanent, as all of us sometimes manage to do!).
