Well Boris may have been caught out telling the truth for once.
Before he has been talking about a 'bit of short term pain', but now 'meltdown' for possible long term gain?

Those with money and an 'I'm alright Jack' attitude will no doubt not fear a 'meltdown', but what about the millions who survive from month to month?

Civil unrest affects everyone!

Not sure which one of your catagories I fit into.Im certainly not racist or xenophobic,or rich. But I will certainly be well peeved if we do not get the hell right out of the EU!.The millions who survive from month to month??? you mean most working people!...Being in EU does not benefit that as far as I have noticed.....The snowflake generation need an injection of reality...Life is hard...you want something...work bloody hard for it..

Civil unrest....what like in Greece, where the avarage homeowner is 6 months in mortgage arrears and youth unemployment at upyo 50%

.............yup they sure enjoy the benefits of EU membership.

Civil unrest ?? meaning what violent protest ? a masse breakdown of law and order ? riots ?

Brilliant, the quitters think the Greece model is a good barometer for Brexit. It's probably good that they aim so low. Perhaps the UK looking up to Greece will be a good thing.

No, Greece: a good barometer for how the EU treats nation states.

It forgets to blame itself for its Eurozone shambles. Thank God remoaning Eurphiles didnt get us to join the Euro.

Lol.

Hate filled bile.

There will be an agreement , there always is in these types of talks . The end result will be an agreement that is worded in such a way

that both sides can claim success :) that is how it works .

All negotiations from Brexit , climate change , nuclear dis armament , any UN Resolution that is ever agreed is in most case's a "dogs breakfast"

all things to all people , interpreted and picked over by armies of lawyers / scheisters on some massive inflated fee :)

Ah yes, the already well rehearsed quitter argument for when it all goes pear shaped...

Blame it on those who didn't want to jump off the cliff with them in the first place!

Not a barometer of Brexit, knowall - just a great example of why we should stay away from The EU and the Euro.
The latter is true...

But wait, we're not in the Euro/weren't planning to join - so indeed not a barometer!

Maybe one should look at Iceland for how to deal with a financial crisis.
They are in the EEA and follow EU rules, but have their own currency.
When the banking crisis hit they let their banks fail, introduced currency controls and partially compensated their citizens.
Not only have they paid off their debts, but now they run a budget surplus and aim to have a zero national debt by 2030.
Whilst maintaining public services and being in a free trade/movement area.

So if we're looking for 'barometers' (y)
