What tool to crosscut 100's of 2x2 boards?

I'm DIY building a large number of big wooden planters out of 2x2 stock.

I'll need to crosscut 100s of boards, fairly accurately.

My current tools are:

Crosscut hand saw
Jigsaw

I'm aware that the 'proper' tool for the job is a chop saw or mitre saw, however once this job is done I'm unlikely to have a similar job around the house, so spending £100s on one seems excessive, especially since they aren't exactly small.

I *might* make more use of a table saw, since I also do some woodwork projects which would make use of the ripping capabilities however I've never never been able to justify the cost or frankly the space in my small workshop for one.

My concern is that even if I spring for a £300 compact table saw that cutting 4m lengths will require removing the guide and manually feeding the board which kind of defeats the purpose....

I've looked at renting both however given spare time limitations I might be working on this over a period of weeks so it would cost more than buying one outright.

Does anyone have any smart ideas?

100s accurately 100% cross cut or pull saw
length stop chop raise head remove cut off move timber chop about ever 8-10 seconds
if they are 44x44mm then you can cut 23 or even 4 at once
table saw and sledge can do it but not ideal for longer lengths as they tend to drag off line
keep any on lidl for a chop saw around the £50 mark

I dare say you will find a bit of play on the saw, but with careful setting up and gentle action when cutting you will get a pretty good result.

Just wondering, why are you using 2x2 for planters? Not easier with 6x2 or whatever?

Aesthetic.

If OP is going to the trouble of buying a saw to make them I'd imagine they're to sell on - while 6x2 would be quicker and easier to make it might not be what others want to buy.
