Good Morning Folks

I'm sure some of you have heard the saying 'finding a job is a job in itself'.

I am working full time and looking for a new job. As you can imagine this can be very time consuming.

Has anyone outsourced this task to a virtual assistant who can look for 'unadvertised jobs'?

If so, what was the success rate?

Alternatively, do you think it would be a waste of money and I should just do it all myself?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I've just tried

"Alexa, find Geek84 a job"

"I'm sorry, I'm not f'in miracle worker"

Then she laughed uncontrollably until we reset her.

When I first went to London a long time ago, the Job centre was in the pub,
Friday night in the Prince Arthur was full of brickies plasterers, chippies and subbies who had all been paid in cash for their labour.
My Brother who worked on the sites introduced me to his mates by saying my brother is looking for a job any thing going?
By closing time in the pub I had a job to start on monday morning at so much a shift , if you weren't up to job you got sacked on the spot, as there was loads of work in the building trade in London this wasn't a problem.
Nowadays instead of the pub people go on the internet.

If you work in a professional/office etc environment, then Linkedin is really your best way. Most jobs are filled before they are advertised, find the people you want to work for or the recruitment reps hunting for them and get in touch. Very few companies will hire someone who applied for an advertised job and waited to be called for interview. There will be someone else who wants it more and will have contacted the hiring manager 'to find out more about the role'.

1st interview is about selling yourself
2nd interview is about how you will fit in to the role (so buying as well as selling).
