None standard ethernet trace wires ??

So I normally don't have an issue fitting an RJ45 connector onto ethernet cable but this cable already has a pure white cable twisted around the orange and the same for all the other 3 colours such as green/blue/brown.

So pure white twisted around the brown, pure white twisted around the orange and so on.

If I want to create a normal straight through cable how would I wire this ? As normally I'd expect to share the tracer white/orange with the solid blue and the tracer white/blue with solid green or something along those lines, so this solid white already twisted with the solid colours has got me confused.

Any help much appreciated

Just treat it as if it does have the tracer colour on it. The fact it's twisted with the other colour means it's the correct one.

You just have to take a bit more time when you are untwisting them at the ends that you keep them in the correct order, because now you have 4 white wires. Testing afterwards is a must.

Get some marker pens out while your untwisting them, mark the white ones with a stripe.
Makes assembling the plug easier as you can get them in order then.

I have some phone cable where is difficult to see what pair the white came from.
I have to follow it back

If you loose the twist then you are in trouble.

For larger cables, as many as 3000 pairs in one cable, it gets "interesting "

You're not supposed to untwist the pairs enough at terminations to be able to lose the pairings...

Yes, I'm seen that sort of thing done in 'multi-cables', with a few, dozens, hundreds or even thousands of sets of three (or four) twisted pairs, but I've never seen it done in a 'single' cable with just three or four twisted pairs - have you?

Yes, largest cable I recall being involved with was a 102 pair. A lines-man was terminating it onto a tag field in the equipment room where our equipement was installed. We had to stop working and leave the roo, to allow him space to work

I've seen bigger cables than that. However, that's not what I asked about - what I asked was ...

.... I've never seen it [same colour for one of the conductors of all pairs] done in a 'single' cable with just three or four twisted pairs - have you?
