I've got a few packs of Hobnobs ready to go on eBay. That should cover our holiday abroad in London when our new blue passports arrive.

My neighbour told me about this being reported today.. prob is that people will probably panic now because of the scaremongering such as stories like that.
Or it'll just be like another Xmas eve/day before bank holiday when people panic buy too many loaves of bread.

Plonkers like Transam know that there will be disruption to our economy and to our supplies of food and other imports.

Since they can't refute those facts, they don't want to enter into an adult discussion. But they want to sprinkle made-up fantasy to add confusion and to prevent anyone taking the problems seriously.

Forget about your " Five a day"
Fruit and veg, we have entered what the Supermarket Buyers are calling the "Famine Months!
December to August our fresh veg/fruit reserve stocks grown by our Farmers have been used up and stocks will not be available until the Summer months crops, so we rely on our EU Farmer friends to supply Potatoes/ Tomatoes /Lettuce /Fruit etc
Why should they supply us with these essentials when we leave without adding Tarriffs on the goods ?

Err, because it’ll rot if it’s not sold maybe?
I'm afraid I'm partly with Motman on this, they will happily sell us their produce. Although if they are astute business people, they will sell us their produce at the gates of their production facilities, insisting delivery is our problem.
And as we now know, delivery is THE problem, which kind of diverges from agreeing with Motman.
They will sell us their produce, but it will then rot in the delivery delays!

So Transam is partly correct, there will be shortages, (in the event of a No Deal). There may well be panic buying (certainly for essentials such as medicines).
But I very much doubt if his breakdown of society will come to pass however much he might desire it.

Gosh, I must get the most senior buyers from Tescos, Sainsburys etc immediately and get them to contact you.

Contact them by all means. Ask them why they are bulk-buying and storing non-perishable goods
Ask them why they aren't storing perishable goods. I'd like to see your face when they reply.
