Im looking to replace my existing mains wired doorbell with one of these door chime/camera systems and am trying to verify if my current set up will be adequate to power the new system.

The new system says it needs to be powered by wires delivering 12 - 24 V AC and at least 8 VA (in Europe)

My existing transformer shows a secondary of 3-5-8v (not sure how to interpret this)

And the door chime itself shows 8-16v

I think the answer is looking like a no but is anyone able to advise if the existing transformer/wiring are suitable to power the new system?

If I need to upgrade the transformer would I need to also upgrade the wiring?

That can supply either 3 volts, 5 volts or 8 volts. 8 being the most common.
Not suitable for something that requires 12 or more, so you will need a different transformer or power supply.
The wiring does not need to be changed.

Nest won't be Nest for much longer, it will be Google and will require a Google account to actually do anything.
