The last time I looked all new NCAP rated Renaults were being sold with headlamps included.

Read all the posts. You'll get the gist.
A car will pass the safety tests as long as the headlamps are manufactured so that they work. They don't take into account the fact that someone could stick a hammer through your bulb.
It's self - evident that bulbs fail, so easy roadside replacement really ought to be factored into a safety rating.
So do turbos.
Are turbos a safety feature?
