The referendum vote for Brexit was clear: the electorate was 46,501,241, Leave was 17,410,742 and Remain was 16,141,241. The UK public actually did not, does not and will not want a Brexit in the foreseeable future. Adrian Low makes this argument by analysing the post-referendum polls and demographic trends.

The difference between leave and remain was 3.8 percent or 1.3 million in favour of Leave. However, in a close analysis, virtually all the polls show that the UK electorate wants to remain in the EU, and has wanted to remain since referendum day. Moreover, according to predicted demographics, the UK will want to remain in the EU for the foreseeable future.

There have been at least 13 polls since June 23rd which have asked questions similar to ‘Would you vote the same again’ or ‘Was the country right to vote for Brexit’. Eleven of these polls indicate that the majority in the UK do not want Brexit.

Yup, sorry Brexiteers, your key argument has been debunked. :ROFLMAO:

Anything to make the remoaners feel better.

I would be ashamed of my country and government if they do not carry out what the people who voted went to that voting booth for which was to leave the EU.

It does not matter the margin of win or the people who did not vote that has absolutely no relevance.

Let’s say they hold another referendum and it is for instance 10 mill stay 9.9mill leave and 30 mill no vote as a remoaner you would be happy to have that vote again? And again? And again?

No of course not you would be saying you have won and to drop it. Now put yourself in a leavers shoes.

The only way to settle the argument is to have another ref now people have a better understanding on how it will effect them.. That's not going to happen.

what the people who voted went to that voting booth for

Which was not "no deal"

The anti-EU campaigners specifically said we would have a trade deal with the EU and free access to the single market.

None of them said that there is no solution to the Irish Border problem.

Some of them claimed it would cut immigration and that the EU prevented us controlling immigration.

Was any of that true?

The vote was to leave or stay? There was no deals or anything mentioned in that vote unless I’m wrong and you can show me that? Whatever newspaper hype and people said to try and influence the votes was not a binding part of the vote. It was vote leave or stay.

It’s a bit like saying I voted for conservatives because Tereasa May was prime minister and I should be almighty ****ed and demanding a new vote because Boris has taken over. No I voted conservative no matter what.

We had absolutely no control at all, in who in the EU would be able to move over to the UK. Not a problem when the EU was just the western EU, but now the EU has welcomed in lots of poor eastern European states. Germany has an open door policy, allowing lots of immigrants in and asylum seekers, which end up with EU passports and many then make their way here, quite legally.

Some say the UK offers these people no more than the rest of the EU, but why then do so many risk their lives to cross the channel to get here if that is true? In part the problems are our own weak government and poor border control, but its difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff when there are so very many comings and goings.

Ref 2 would stand though,,,if you had a majority of 1!!!!!......

I'm sorry but that isnt correct.

There is something called transitional provision, so when the A8 countries joined the EU the UK could have chosen to not allow free movement.

Workers from new EU member countries - transitional arrangements. Restrictions on the free movement of workers may apply to workers from EU member countriesfor a transitional period of up to 7 years after they join the EU.

So why is my local area flooded with Rumanian gypsies, trawling the area with their untaxed, uninsured and over loaded trucks for scrap?

That has been shown in the last 3 years to be not correct.

Yes a referendum would appear to have a result with a majority. But with something so complex, it gets debated in parliament. MPs are voted in by constituents and represent their views. Therefore they have been voting in parliament on matters Brexit on that basis.

MPs also are in parliament for the benefit of UK citizens, so if they feel leaving the EU especially on a no deal basis is wrong, they will vote in the best interests of the citizens.

Also Brexit hasnt happened not because remainers are preventing but because leavers cant agree on a type of Brexit.

In other words Brexiteers are thwarting the will of the people

If an EU citizen moves here looking for work, under Freedom of Movement, intending to contribute to the economy, be productive, and pay tax and National Insurance, he is allowed to stay for up to three months. If by the end of three months, he has been unsuccessful, tell me what Freedom of Movement says the UK can do.

Are they here legally?

If they arent, you should be complaining about the UK government not the EU.

Why are there 1 milion visa overstayers in the UK, whose fault is that
