I did notice how Merkel and Macron both said a backstop solution may found and a deal could be forthcoming.

They have outplayed Boris -because he thought they would both turn it down flat so he could come back and blame the EU for failure.

Now its been turned around and its up to Boris to create the solution.....when he doesnt itll be his fault.
