Around Manchester, many people pronounce words with a "ttle" ending as if the t's are k's.

Bottle = Bokkle

Kettle = Kekkle

Ouch!, sorry Motty, JohnD (purveyor of racism) reckons you are. Personally, I thing its culture, and the word tends to be a 'gangsta' type word, mind you, there's a lot of white yoof emulating similar language tendencies.

Indians do not seem to be able to pronounce V either.

There are lots.

Germans are the other way round with V and W.
Germans, Irish and others can't pronounce 'TH'.

The "TH" sound doesn't appear in many other European languages, that's why they can't pronounce it properly.
There are lots of sounds in other languages that we British have difficulty with too.
e.g. the Italian "gli" as in tagliatelle.
