Bathroom Woes

So in my new flat, the builders must have been drunk when installing the toilet and the sink see attached:

Did you spot the problem?

The mirror should not be above the toilet it should be the other way around.
As a DIY newbie I do not know what type of bathroom cabinet I should get to store my goodies that will more important extend out so I can use it as a mirror too...any ideas?

I was thinking of buying this: bathroom cabinet I want to buy but the problem of no mirror persists.

Or alternatively, I can replace the long mirror above the toilet with a bathroom cabinet BUT that still does not solve the problem of how to mount a mirror for shaving, brushing teeth etc WITHOUT closing off access to the window.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? How did you fix it?

Counting on your guys to help me out with some funky, cheap DIY ideas.

You could replace the existing mirror with your proposed cabinet or choose another with mirrored doors, and use one of those magnifying mirrors on a pantograph linkage for shaving.....you don't want to block out the window.
Ideally I guess the loo and wash hand basin should be transposed but it's a bit late for that!

You could argue the window is in wrong position, builder put things where they are asked to and often don’t question poor choices .
You could replace the mirror with a mirror fronted cabinet and open the door when using sink giving you a mirror to you right .

Why? AFAIK bath/shower - basin - WC has pretty much always been the "standard" arrangement and I can't recall being in a modern hotel en-suite that is any different or for that matter a modern apartment bathroom set out any differently.

Like the sliding mirror idea to solve this problem

IMHO a window is not a necessity - many bathrooms have no window - led lighting and an efficient extractor are fine .

I'd be tempted to fix an angle poise type round mirror behind the basin, so you can move it to where you want it.
