Low flow on new bath mixer tap

Hello people.
Ive just had a new bath and tap fitted by a plumber.
After he left i realised the hot water flow on the hot it half it was on my old basic taps.
I have a copper water tank.
Am i right in assuming this is the new crappy mixer tap that was fitted causing this problem people.

Possibly, if it is connected using a braided flexi connector that won't help either. Some of those have a small bore. Got a photo of the taps from below?

I havent got a photo but yea.its Connected with small bore flexi hose.and removed this original copper piping.

Yup, should have kept it the way it was will full 22mm right up to the tap. That and a mixer cartridge like that is, unfortunately, probably the worst type of tap you could have put onto a gravity HW system. Ideally that would be reverted back to a full bore deck mixer if the holes are still 180mm

There is low pressure and high pressure taps, could be you have bought high pressure taps which are slow on gravity systems

so madrab if i fitted these half inch taps,would it solve the reduced hot water flow.
I mean im not to fussed about fancy mixer taps .

No, they are basin taps, you need 3/4" bath taps.

If you can find bath-size Bristan Regency taps, they are a similar style but much better quality.

Have a look on ebay and sort by price.

Some of their other styles are cheaper, but less beautiful. I wouldn't get ceramic taps if I were you.

19mm bore hoses and traditional taps are the way to go....

If there is a need to have some flexibility then I'd use plastic 22mm, at last that way you at least maximise the gravity flow.

the left hand one also appears to be twisted. Inside the metal braiding is the actual waterpipe, which is thin plastic and easily kinked. It can be un-twisted by loosening the nut and re-fixing.

I can't make out the pipe size.

That certainly adds to the low flow, those flexi's and the cartridge mixer all need mains pressure to work properly.

I have to say your plumber's a bit on an idiot though if he thought that would all work properly on a gravity system. The pièce de résistance is the
(3/4")22mm>15mm reducer for the hot feed .... so the cold on a larger flexi ... that really takes the biscuit That alone will unbalance the supplies if the cold's on gravity too, as the pressure is already low, it's all about maximising flow.
