small business grant funding of £10,000 for all business in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief.

I come under that definition. Is this 'grant' a gift or a loan?

£10k. It’s mine, all mine. Gotta pay corporation tax on it as it’s classed as income (£1,800) but still..

Ive heard on UKbusiness forum quite a few people have been seeing the grants deposited into their bank accounts.

the government have done well on this.

the employees furlough scheme is a bit of a nightmare for bookkeepers and accountants as it falls over 2 tax years and most accounts software havent developed updates to deal with it.

I’m just waiting for a Government Gateway number and I can tick the 'PAYE online' box and my accountant will deal with it.
