This government plans to limit Parliamentary scrutiny of Government Bills and Legislation to only 50 MP's starting imminently.

So where is this bit defined?

I regularly go on a zoom conferences with over 400 people, I can't see the problem. Do more than 50 usually get a say on a bill?

maybe you would if if it was decided if your zoom meetings were all cancelled and only the people physically in the meeting were allowed to have a say.

The ones who wont get a say are those with less than 12 seats. But they wont ever get a say in a govt with a large majority.

It is worrying when the number of people who can scrutinise the legislation is reduced by a factor of 10. It'll be 550 fewer eyes, ears, and voices, that's a heck of a reduction.

A representative selection, a representation of what, the current government's majority? Obviously the government is not going to risk losing any vote by not having a majority in any one sitting.

Your last sentence doesn't make much sense. How can a MP have less than or more than 12 seats?
If you are talking about parties, it is currently immaterial how many seats a party has as to whether it gets to scrutinise and have an opinion in legislation.
A single seat party can bring a Private Members bill to parliament. A group of parties, all with less than 12 seats can form an opposing coalition.
Your own MP may be unable to represent your interests in parliament.
It is all very worrying and a significant dilution of democracy.

I've given your concern a great deal of thought, Mottie.
And I've designed a keypad for Tory MPs who are having, or have had difficulty pressing the right button.

This will only help them in voting, of course. At the cashpoint and other such keypads, I'm afraid they're on their own.

I've had to redesign the 'Help' function. I have spent all night writing the manual on how to use the keypad, but unfortunately it exceeded the memory capacity of the keypad.
So I've just made the Help button activate the predictive vote option, rather like the predictive text on a phone.

so all those MPs that travel some distance to London will have to increase their risk of infection by using public transport, not too bad for wealthy multi million MPs that have a London pad....maybe like Rees Mogg

Who knows. What he seems to be advocating is a full return to parliament all members present to vote on it. In a gov blog like page he mentions the cut and thrust of UK in the house politics. Some of which causes some countries to show it as a comedy show.

If he does get them all back in I wonder how many will wear masks. His argument seems to be that they want people at work so they should return to it as well.

It seems he can do what he likes with electronic voting such as ending it. It's also not that clear that all MP's could use it when they had it. Seems they had a meaningless trial vote. Details are scant.
