Moved into a new build

Issues with a few walls not being straight affecting the appearance of the fitted units and doors hanging from the those units.

Is this something we can get into the developer about?

Not sure what this has to do with BR’s?

Assume you mentioned the inaccurate walls prior to moving in and agreeing to proceed with the sale?

It’s not something we noticed tbh, we’ve been in the house for 6 months now, and only just noticed. It’s only slight, but annoying none the less!

In a new build if that's all you've noticed after 6 months I'd count your chickens, I'd be more worried about all the nasties you can't see, the missing cavity trays, coke cans in the cavities, extractor fan into the loft etc rather than a few walls that are a few mm out.

I wish that was all we noticed!

Except in very limited cases, Building Regulations are only applied insofar as they impact Health and Safety. Walls being built a few degrees out will not fall under B.R. control.

If its a new build, there are tolerances under the NHBC standards. Get the developers to assess this under the NHBC Buildmark Warranty or Standards.

Have you seen NHBC tolerances ? They’re a joke, The Crooked House in Himley would pass.
