Not really equivalent.Millions of boys suffer MGM too. It's known colloquially as circumcision.
Not really equivalent.
A comparison of FGM in a man would be chopping off the whole head of the penis.

Yep, babies being mutilated with no choice is disgusting. If anyone wishes to be circumcised it should be a choice as an adult. It's not a pi55ing contest, it's still mutilation of a boy who is given no choice in the matter.
I saw what you did thereIt's not a pi55ing contest

But.. most boys don't end up with lifelong pain.
There can be health benefits of circumcision, as well as a procedure that can be still carried out in the UK if there is a medical reason for it.
FGM has no health benefits afaik.
It leaves girls/women with lifelong pain
It's not available on the NHS, in fact, it's banned in the UK.
So, it's not really a peeing competition I agree! They're not really the same imo.
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/circumcision-in-men/I know they're not the same and FGM is far more gruesome with lifetime negative effects.
Yes, sometimes it is medically necessary to circumcise a male.
No I don't believe there are proven health benefits to being circumcised, the only research I found supporting it was funded by a certain group.

What group was that? If it's any religious group, then I think it should be banned for religious reasons.
I just looked at the NHS for health benefits.
Quite agree. It should only be done, by choice, as an adult - for whatever reason imo.that's still no reason to mutilate a baby.
I think there was a prosecution in the UK, first of it's kind? Remember reading about it some while ago. Changing the law will help those kids in the UK eventually..Since data started being collected 5 years ago
24420 woman and girls have been identified as having been subjected to the practice
145 (?) procedures have been carried out in the UK ( illegally)
