Hi, need some advice please. Due to specific circumstances we need to build a shelf for clothes heatpump dryer. These weigh around 50-60kg. Shelf will be above a washing machine in a corner. Two brick Walls at right angle.

I was hoping to fix some batons into wall and then fix an offcut of a worktop. In opposite corner without wall I will support using a table lag.will use some L brackets to fix worktop to the batons.

What size batons and screws should I use ? Do I use grab adhesive as well as screws?

If it was me I'd use some joinery grade softwood, ex 100 x 25

Then use 2 rows of screws, each pair set at a diagonal to one another. 6 screws 70 x 5mm if going into decent brick

50 x 50 leg.

Stretcher plates to hold worktop to wall batten

100 x 100 x 20 bracket for post top and bottom

Thanks for the advise. We have different makes of washing machine and dryer. Both companies have said their warranty will be invalid if stacked with another company's item. Its over the top from manufacturera probably but I don't want any problems with warranty.

I don't really get how those stacking kits work, my washing machine vibrates like mad, god help something stacked on top.
