Looks like my mum got off light - 'only' £350! I think she has to pay the first £75 and then 20% of the balance as the dog is over 8 years old so she should get something back.

Took my dog on the first shoot of the season today. Someone thought they were a driving god with a beaters van but couldn’t even keep it in a straight line down a muddy track.

Got some smoke pellets today. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I shall set one off in the car as I need to trace a leak into the cabin. I'm too tight to hire a smoke machine.
We went over to North London today to take our daughter out to lunch for her birthday. We had to book an outside table because of the restrictions. Before our meal had even turned up, the bloody seat on the bench broke and dumped me and Mrs Mottie on the floor, much to the amusement of our daughter, her boyfriend and everyone else sitting at the other tables. To be fair, I noticed that one of the two cross beams was cracked so I made sure we sat towards each end of our bench. We must have forgotten as when we got closer together.......CRACK! and we were on our arses. I had trouble getting Mrs Mottie up as she was in fits of laughter.
