If many poor prioritised healthy eating over phones,tv etc...children would not starve.

This attitude is the problem. Kids are not in a position to dictate how their parents live their lives.
This is all about protecting children and ensuring they are fed and looked after. We should not be punishing children because their parents make poor life choices - as soon as we start thinking like that, the government will cut funds to social services and it will just put more people deeper into poverty.

The way to help these kids is to show them that education is a ticket out of poverty, and at the same time give them a healthy meal every day.

It's not the children's fault they have no food.

So you have no response as usual. Long live the fraternity of dumb plumbers.

Child benefit is restricted to the first 2 children and UC is also I believe. So knocking out extra kids isn't a windfall.

I agree that some parents and people have made a lifestyle from benefits but can you put a number on this - as the majority of UC claimants are working poor.

If you have facts to back up your argument then it's an interesting discussion point.

Anecdotes and hearsay can inform your opinion but it's not the basis to form policy. Something RWR need to be reminded of.
Stop pidgeon holing people into right and left would be good from you...And remove that silver spoon from your aris, and remove that 3degrees chip from your shoulder. Then we can chat...And that brexit =numb...remain = intelligent...get real.

So still waiting for the facts - if you know so much about it and its widespread then it should be easy to back it up. It is an interesting discussion point.

Will wait for you to leave Nania first

So you got nothing. RWR.

A Conservative minister who voted against free school meals had earlier made a £65 expense claim – for a handbook about childhood poverty.

Robin Walker, minister for Northern Ireland, bought the Child Poverty Action Group reference manual last June and then charged it to the public purse.
And?You would claim every scrap of expenses in a job..For Sure!.Do you let your tenants off with £65 rent a month?
