Yeah, those ports are RJ45. I can only assume they are to protect a broadband connection / network connection from potential surges. Input would be broadband / network feed in and out would be going to a router, switch or PC for example.don't think so. Phone plugs have the thumblatch on the side. I think those are RJ45 or similar connectors.
