My missus has mention one of these as a next car but I’m not so sure.

First off, I might be wrong but I think Jaguar > Land Rover > Expensive > Unreliable.

She only has a 6 or 7 mile trip to work and we might have a run out 100miles or so on a weekend. It would be a 3 or 4 year old one around £25,000ish.

Does anyone have an opinion on them or have an alternative ‘tall’ car I could recommend to her?

Thanks

Luck of the draw. Apart from servicing and consumable items (brakes, tyres, battery etc), all we’ve had gone wrong on our Evoque in 5 years is a door lock. Other people haven’t even got home after picking up a brand new one!

I suppose there is a risk with any car but the amount of negative stuff I’ve read on JLR products would stop me buying one.
Father in law had an F Pace out on a lease deal recently and it is a lovely bit of kit, maybe checking out these deals yourself if your paying out that much in one go.

surely there is a specification page with dimensioned drawing on the maker's website?

the vehicle height is 1,664mm

so the taller of these women must be 5'2" or thereabouts

Fine, but he wants the spec for the rear-seat, not some random woman. At least, I think that's the way it is.:)

From Jaguar website

Height (mm) 1,666
Length (mm) 4,731
Width with mirrors folded (mm) 2,071
Width with mirrors out (mm) 2,175
Front wheel track (mm) 1,641
Rear wheel track (mm) 1,654
Wheelbase (mm) 2,874

Ha ha ha!!!! The back seat in ours is too narrow for 3 kids, that’s 130cm with the centre seats being just 28cm

Mines a 2 series Gran Tourer and I measured an X3 to be 100mm wider in the back and the 2012 Golf GTI that I want is 50mm smaller :(

so you need a woman only 130cm tall.

otherwise i think she may need to put her feet out of the window.

It’s bigger on the outside but if the door panels are thicker in the Jag it might be similar
