Have you had any funny or saucy proposals suggested whilst at work?

I was once on a job when I got a tap on the shoulder from a very busty younger blond wrapped woman only in a towel, she asked me to follow her and as it turns out she had a whole cellar full of bondage gear.
She whispered in my ear that she wanted me to [insert your own dirty thought here] - so I had a very good time on that job.

There - that the sort of thing your after?
It's what we can only ever dream of, oh hang on - the above WAS a dream lolz.

IT might be - but do you really think they want to discuss it on a public forum amongst a bunch of tradesmen if they were?

On a more serious note, its a nightmare for many.
the wife was having some trouble from a manager , to the point he was getting innapropriately touchy.
found his address and pulled up on his nice resin driveway with a borrowed iveco tipper with a horrendous oil leak . knocked the door. sadly his wife answered, she was really understanding when I explained quietly that she was only one step away from pushing him around in a wheelchair.
missus came home the next day and announced she’d sorted it. He finished shortly after.

I was in work the other day pushing a small 3 drawer pedestal unit from one classroom to another. My route took me through a dining/study area where there were about 200 students. Because I was bent over pushing it I started getting a few woo-woo's type of thing from some of the girls. Took it in my stride because they were full of high spirits because it was their last day before the Christmas break when suddenly one of them shouted "Nice arse!" as I got near the exit. Now if that had been a woman/young girl doing the pushing and a lad doing the comment can you imagine the uproar it may have caused?

Yes, you should have reported that you "perceived it as a hate incident".

I think I have enough sense and wisdom to ignore it as the joke it was intended to be. Add to the fact we have CCTV in all the open areas there can never be an allegation without substance. Two students were shocked a few days ago when they sneaked out through an emergency exit hoping no one would notice. Unfortunately for them the door alarms became active last Friday but we haven't had time to put the signs on the doors. They were stunned when my boss appeared at one corner of the building and I appeared at the other end to stop and escort them back inside. I explained that all emergency doors were now alarmed 24/7 and areas covered by CCTV to prevent these things happening. (Think terrorism potentiality). My boss then referred them to the principal who removed their pass card privileges for the remainder of the week as punishment and an example to others. This means they now have to sign in and out of the building but also have to report to each tutor rather than swipe their attendance in to each lesson. Until the doors became active we had had 3 or 4 incidents of students opening the doors to let their non-college friends in during break times.

You clearly are not suited to the modern world.

I was not being serious but pointing out the stupidity of the modern world where 'perception' is all that is required for it to be so in such instances.

How wrong you are .
Even if you are ultimately vindicated, and the allegation shown to be baseless, you can have years of your life ruined, and you're reputation trashed.
Happens all the time.

Ok yes I agree, there possibly could be allegations against anyone in the college, or anywhere else for that matter, but the chances of someone making an allegation with so many areas covered by CCTV are a lot less than somewhere without this surveillance in place. It is primarily for the safety of everyone against unlawful entry and/or bullying but also serves a wider purpose. We also have a security expert on hand who is trained in body language and lip reading observations. The students were polled apparently at the start of the year for their opinions on these measures and there was unanimous approval for it with the SU saying all their members, (98% of students), were in favour of it.

I was changing a projector in a school classroom after hours, all cleared with the office etc when a group of girls came in and started undressing to change into sports kit, I don't think they even noticed me

About 20 years I turned up for my 3rd day on a job, knocked on the door and the customer opened the door with her knockers out. I went to say 'good morning' but although I could feel my mouth moving, no sounds came out. I felt really anxious and absolutely didn't respond in any way for fear of repercussions. I set up my equipment and carried on with the work, she in the meantime put a top on, made me a cup of tea and nothing was said about it. I worked for her many times after that and there was never a repeat performance. It's the sort of situation that I may have had the occasional fantasy about, but when it happened, blind panic and fear.

I mentioned it to a plumber friend at the time and he recounted an incident when he was working for a lady, he was on his back under a kitchen sink doing something or other when the lady bent down and grabbed his nuts, startled, he sat bolt upright and gashed his forehead on the sink waste, almost passed out when he saw the amount of blood running down his white shirt and the lady was by now screaming and hysterically apologising. I recall he did manage to finish the job but was a right mess by the time he left.
