What have you bought today?

Mrs Mottie keeps going on about marmite and cheese hot cross buns that have been recommended to her. I haven’t seen any at Sainsbury’s though.

These are nice, from Lidl. The Marmite ones have no fruit in, just a roll with a salty cheese taste, the Lidl ones are nicer(still no fruit, but not called hot cross buns)

Today I bought a Valentines meal deal from Waitrose. Chicken liver parfait starter, pork shoulder with honey, garlic and rosemary, parmentier potatoes and maple roasted winter vegetables for main, raspberry cheesecake for dessert and a bottle of Syrah. Nearly thirty quids worth if bought separately so a bargain at just twenty quid. Oh yeah, and a bunch of roses. (y)

I went for a walk into Hornchurch this morning and bought a heart shaped handmade cake in our local French patisserie. Unfortunately it didn’t travel well!

£62.00 for three months treatment against flea, tick, lungworm and other nasties for our dog - that’s almost £250 a year on flea treatments. Bit of a con really as you can buy them online for £22 but you need a prescription. I’m going to look into that next time but I’m sure you have to have a £44 check up to get the prescription. :cautious:

Well, I looked into it and.....result! £14 for a vet prescription and £47.45 for six months treatment (including 1st class tracked delivery) making it £61.45. Just less than half price. :)(y) We've been paying double for the past 8 years though!

A new laptop. Well, my wife bought it as a surprise because my old one would suddenly shut down then start up again or give me trouble trying to re-boot it.
A lovely surprise but then I told her my phone was broke. I dropped it a few weeks ago and cracked the screen. I thought it was the glass protector at first but on examination it was the actual screen. As it was still working I fitted a new protector and all seemed fine. Went to use it to text home last night and couldn't get my last number into the password. My wife saved the day again. She had a spare phone which she keeps, simply for the 'cherished' number on it and sends her self a text once a month to keep it valid. I now have the phone on the promise not to get rid of the number.
Not had much luck with electronics this week.
