Just bought £10,000's worth of premium bonds. Well, I say bought, I mean re-bought. I cashed in those bonds on Tuesday to go towards a car purchase and then someone came and bought our Evoque the day after I put it up for sale so I needn’t have bothered. Annoying thing is, they won’t go back in the draw until April so I’ve lost 10,000 chances of winning in March.

Nearly bought a years tax on our new motor tonight but have to wait another day because of the stupid DVLA. Anyway, checking the tax rates for this car it’s a 150 bhp A3 producing emissions of just 112 g/km. Cars of 112 g/km registered from April 1st 2017 cost £175 per year. Ours was registered in January 2017 and costs just £30 for the year. Result!

Bought it. Thirty quid for a whole years car tax. I’m pretty sure it was more than that when I first started driving in around 1975/76.

Another 20 G4 bulbs for the under cupboard kitchen lights. Once one blows, they all seem to come out in sympathy!

Is it worth thinking about led strips, I think they give off a nicer light more evenly distributed.
