Hi people,

I was hoping to add an external door to what will eventually be an extra bit of kitchen space, rather than a utility room.

There is a street sign attached to my wall where I'd like the door to go. Not the end of the world if it has to go on the other side, but if it's an easy process to move it, I'd prefer the door be on the left (in the pic).

Who would I need to contact to ask about moving it?

Thanks,

N.

Tempting to just move it but as you may need permission to move the door any neighbour with an axe to grind could "dob you in"!

lol, as per some replies I love the idea of you covertly moving it in the depth of night :)

However sure as fate, regardless of what hour you decide to move it, you'll be half way through and a car or insomniac dogwalker will appear from nowhere, trust me :)

Update:

Council 'highways dept.' replied, today. They just said, "Yeah. Take it down. We'll add a sign to a street-post, instead."

Thanks for the help, everyone.
