Calls out tradesman to fix leak. Wraps tape around it.

Probably but now you have turned the short length of pipe upside down.

I turned the whole bit circled in red around which shouldnt make any difference. IF I can get up there I'll rip off tape and switch the little bit circled in purple around I guess

Putting brown square guttering on a lovely house like that with the open eaves rafters on show, part render part brick together with the timber feature windows is like sticking some aftermarket alloy wheels on a 60 year old Daimler.

Get that crap off and put some new black round or black deepflow guttering on with round pipes and have a proper offset going to the side from the outlet. That square downpipe is affecting my well being.

You could even use some side rafter hung galvanised rise and fall brackets which would suit that very nice house of yours.

I was under the impression you had taken this section off and had put it back upside down/or just put it back together wrong.

Do square ones like these leak more and have more problems than round ones?

Nah. Turned whole section round which I guess makes no difference. It was always wrong way round going into top of downpipe. I guess get up there and put it male into female like it should be. Bloody high though

He's not the OP ( owner), he's a very naughty boy. He's a handyman picking brains on here for various jobs :ROFLMAO: hence the occasional ****taking posts.

Sorry Nige, did you say Handyman? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: He is no where close to that, I recon Matt Allwright has him on speed dial.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
