hi.

Does anyone know the current capacity for the imperial equivalent of 6mm? It’s a lot thicker than 6mm.

Could a 40 or 45A Mcb be used ?

Thanks

You have a cable slightly larger than 6mm2, yet it's only good for 37A?
Those CCCs relate to "coarse excess current protection" (which I suspect may mean BS3036 fuses or suchlike) and, per the below, may be multiplied by 1.33 (turning 37A into about 49A) if one has 'close excess-current protection" (which I suspect {but may be wrong!} may be closer to an MCB)

Thanks. That seems to confirm my speculation above - i.e. that the CCC figures quoted can be multiplied by roughly (1.5 is almost the same as 1.45) 1.33 if protection is provided by an MCB.

Kind Regards, John
