True, but that would guarantee that he had to have two cables in each 'drop', which is exactly what he was hoping to avoid.Consider a ring rather than a radial, as it can be 32 amp using smaller cable (2.5mm2).
Kind Regards, John

Possible, I suppose, but I'm not convinced ...You haven't mentioned lighting as of yet. Are you sure this won't become a 'mancave' with heating etc at a later date?
We need the OP to clarify..... a small outside yard between the house and garage which has now been covered . It will be used as a utility type area ...
The OP has not actually ever mentioned any perceived problem in getting two cables into each drop.It would, but I'm not sure why he thinks it's so hard to get two cables in each drop - which is partly why I suggested singles - the whole circuit could be a combination of T+E and singles it it makes running the supply from the consumer unit easier.
Extra cable is cheaper than junction boxes.
There's no particularly rational reason why they should, but I suspect that some still do.True, but do people really think about going to the trouble to do all these joints just to save a bit of cable THESE DAYS?
I personally don't think there is enough of a potential issue for any 'frowning' to really be justified. I don't doubt that it happens occasionally, but I personally cannot recall, in many decades, having ever experienced a 'failure' in/of a JB.50+ years ago they often DID do this sort of thing, but I would say it's mostly frowned upon now unless there is a good reason.
That would presumably be Method B, hence 30A, wouldn't it? (not quite 32A, admittedly, but .... )Surely 4 Milli cable in trunking should be derated to 20A?
