Can i replace it with something like the variglight 8 grid plate and modules? Would i need a new backplate too?

Okay, thanks. So, if i cant find another faceplate, then the only option is to remove the backbox and replace it with another that will fit the MK/Varilight plates?

Sorry i deleted that post as i realised you need to change the lot due to a broken switch.
Again the switches only appear on ebay as well as the cover.

And Mem are a unique size so no varilight wont fit in the Mem hole.

To change the lot is quite involved, but im pretty sure the dual back boxes are all compatible, you would need to measure between the 4 screw holes and compare

Yes i'm expecting to change the whole assembly, but not the backbox if i can get away with it. I'm wondering if i could use the screwless version of the varilight faceplate, and drill new holes where needed. Need to measure a bit more though i think.

The problem is the size of the metal Grids and whether 2 will fit that box, though im pretty sure they will.
An Mk cover is a MK3438 PCR and fits a MK 893ALM box, google may reveal the screw fixing distances to help you compare.
Failing that you could buy the 4 gang grid only and see for yourself.
Are you confident to change an 8 gang grid, its not for the fainthearted, ther could be up to 50 cables inside :)

I'm fairly confident but its probably beyond me in all honesty, so i'm looking at getting someone in once we know our options with faceplates etc.
Think i'm going to order a Yoke and the faceplate in, and go from there. For the sake of £10 or whatever it is, might as well just see how things line up.

@RF Lighting may know for sure if they will fit, when he comes along, I am pretty confident they will.
You will need
2 Four gang metal grids
4 (what looks like Fuse) Grid Modules ?
4 Double Pole 20 Amp Grid switches (Engraved if you want)
1 Eight gang Grid cover plate

Would it be worth your while to perhaps have a custom faceplate cut from brushed stainless steel. The broken switch, would be much easier to source than the faceplate, from ebay.
