Hi,

I'd like to add a radiator in a small ensuite. On inspection, there is clearly a spare 'way' on each of the flow and return manifolds, with a stop end (obvs) in each. It's 10mm Hep2O pipe into compression fittings into copper/brass manifolds. It's 25 years old, with no issues so far. And easily accessed too.

Is it simply...

1. Run Pipes to site from manifold
2. Drain
3. Connect each end
4. refill using fill loop,
5. Bleed all rads.

Have I missed anything? Any other advice welcome.

Cheers

Yes, basically. Remember inserts for the pipes.

Noted. Imprinted on my psyche after 1 pipe came loose the middle of the night of our moving in party. Totally smashed, headache and running water. Plumber had overlooked an insert. I demounted every single one I could access, and checked them. No others since 1996.

New question. The brass manifolds have female threads in them, so the blanks are stopped off with hex 'bolts/studs'.

What fittings am I googling to get me to the nut n olive compression bit for my 10mm pipe to go into? What are they called?

Thanks again.

What feeds the manifolds, 22mm? You might need to tee off that.

The manifold bodies are 22mm, but the ports are machined for 10mm comp fittings.

The pipes feeding the manifolds though, are they 22mm? They may be 3/8" connections for the 10mm pipes but I'm not sure.
