EU make offer to reduce 80% of post Brexit checks at NI border

I'm proud of what UK has achieved. You are on record as having said we wouldn't be able to achieve a trade deal.
You support this government which is doing massive damage to the UK.

You hate the UK
You are a traitor to the UK.

You have a small minded them and us vision of EU and UK.

Your blind hatred of France shows what you are.

dunno but my guess is that captain dazzler is some what sensitive to a critism of the french
I simply object to your constant racist generalisation of French, and other nationalities.
But it is what you do. You have always generalised various nationalities and groups on your perception of them. And then you've wished genocide on them, based on your perception of them. I could mention Romanians, Iranians, Chinese, and basically all foreigners.
That is so similar to the Nazi perception and treatment of Jews in WW2.
Which, you have told us, you have direct family connections to.

plus he seems to think my grandad was an SS general
I don't think anyone has suggested your grandad was a general in the SS.
You told us your grandad was a torturer in the SS. You told us his speciality was pliers. You never mentioned his rank, as far as I can remember. Although you did mention that you assumed one of your relatives held a high rank, based on the unjustified promotion of other relatives.
And your comments have now been sanitised, based on the conclusion that they were humourising and trivialising the treatment of Jews by Nazis in WW2.
Although it took several years to arrive at that conclusion. So it's reasonable to assume that your comments have really been removed to save your embarrassment.

So it's on those kind of comments that I detect what kind of person you are.
If mitch66 and others think your are a decent person based on your typical behaviour, I can only guess that they find your behaviour humorous and entertaining, and that has encouraged your abhorrent behaviour.
And I haven't mentioned lying, nor persistent trolling.
You may be immune to criticism, penalty and deletion by the mods, and appear to have been for many years, but you are not immune to criticism, displeasure and exposure by other posters.
Although you are frequently protected by mods, deleting criticism and exposure of you.

Any way back on topic

Johnson has said that he will do all that is necessary to protect the integrity of the UK borders / trading

looks like the UK will continue to send sausages from one part of the UK to the other part of the UK

jeez us if Macrin gets wind of this
There could be trouble ahead

The worlds first conflict over a sausage
You have often told us frequently how you wish for conflict in this world.
However, on the subject, it is not 'a sausage'. It is the failure to implement an agreement over chilled meat being imported into the EU. All chilled meat.
GB exports £8,000,000 worth of chilled sausages alone to NI each year. All they have to do is either check them for meeting EU's criteria, as they agreed, or to freeze them.
The same applies to all the other chilled meat products.

The very narrative of reducing the discussion to 'a sausage' illustrates the fragility of UK's argument.
They signed an agreement in December, and without implementing that agreement, or even attempting to implement it, they want to renegotiate it after 6 months.

Its the sausages I feel sorry for:cry:
You're saving them from the frying pan.

Anyway, the problem is chilled meat, which includes all chilled meat products such as:
sausages, haggis, ham, all pre-prepared meals, minced meat, chicken portion products, as well as unprepared meat.
Brexiteers are trying to reduce the argument to a sausage, which is typical Boris, such as bent bananas, a fish being shown, etc.
It's trying to reduce the discussion to absurdity.
Reuters and other media outlets portray the argument in a more meaningful way.

Whose fault is it?

UK ministers have tried to attack the EU sausage ban as “nonsensical”, but they’ve known about it for years.
The UK signed Northern Ireland into this position in international law, knowing there was no solution to the problem at the time.
Boris Johnson falsely claimed there was “no question of there being checks” on goods crossing the Irish Sea - he should have known that wasn’t true at the time.
The UK signed a “unilateral declaration” making clear there would be restrictions on chilled meat preparations from July 1.

It isn't just about sausages.
N. I. is not a member of the EU, so why is it subject to EU rules.

NI is in the Single Market for goods.

Why can't you accept the problem is due this Tory Brexit govt.

Did the UK sign up to this?
Yes. In December both sides agreed to this with the detailed list of prohibited and restricted meats set out in a unilateral declaration by the UK that spelled out the new rules for chilled meats.

Six months after signing an agreement the UK now wants the other party to make concessions.
That's nothing to be proud of.

Fair point.
Regardless of who is to blame, why can't you accept that if this protocol is implemented as demanded by the EU, a lot of people are going to suffer.

To avoid a north south border. Listen to the news and you might imagine the border that has been established is floating in the Irish Sea.

Your views on a United Ireland probably coincides with a Brexiters view on the UK being in the EU.

Naughty, naughty Bobby the UK politicians want everybody to concentrate on sausages and maybe chicken nuggets. Mind you nuggets seem to have been dropped when the stupid MP who mentioned them realised they are usually frozen.

The general media could report as you have all chilled meat but from their point of view sausages sounds much much better. Spin doctor types realise this and make use of it when they need to and it will influence some of the population.

What ever you do don't mention the paperwork needed on other items. That might make people think what is the great deal we have achieved with the EU. Can't have that and suckers will remain sucked in.

In practice it's no deal as people understand the meaning of the word at all and means a lot more dealing to come. It certainly is not a trade deal which is what many seemed to expect.
