The level playing field I referred to was entry rights for EU citizens to be the same requirements as others coming from the rest of the world and not an automatic right for any European citizen to come here because we buy a few olives from Greece or some oranges from Spain. In other words, they get entry depending on our needs and their skills.

Would that be the same government that didn’t know how many EEA nationals that are over here? Anyway, what did it cost to educate, house and provide healthcare to them or doesn’t that count? What about the thefts and frauds committed by those not indigenous to this country such as the Romanian pickpocket gangs that you lot don’t believe exist? Credit card thieves, cash machine scammers? Not to mention the murders committed by those that shouldn’t have been here in the first place. Court costs, translation services, legal aid, prison service etc etc?
