remember to update the voters role, from what i heard there will be a another election soon

isn't that automatic?
i don't recall telling them but I got my voting cards through..
might be linked with the council tax thing..

no, you have to fill a form in.

Not all people who ought to pay council tax are eligible to vote. Not all people who are eligible to vote have to pay council tax.

STEVE.....
Strangely.....the thing I do before my first night sleeping in a new house, is check the LOFT........

Call me security mad.....But wouldn't sleep until I did.

I've heard accounts reported over the years of people 'hiding out in the loft'..........Only to come out when your not there..... shock: ...........or worse, when your asleep   .............Seriously.

And...... of a homeowner, who upon investigation of the loft, found bricks removed from the adjoining wall of the terraced house next door.

This turned out to be the neighbour getting into his loft at night, to look through strategically pre-drilled holes, to spy upon him and his wife, in the bedroom.........Absolutely true.

and when everyone has gone from your house at the end of your day, your dad, your mum etc, and youve finished looking at porn in private then decide to get into bed, all by yourself......just as you settle down to sleep at the end of that exciting day and youre glad youre in youre new house all on your own....check under the bed for the bogeyman!!!

My Dad always used to tell the story from the Black Country of a terraced-home owner who heard strange noises from the loft.

On investigation it was found that the family who ran the corner shop 6 doors away had removed bricks from the adjoining walls all along the terrace and there were upwards of 20 people all sleeping up there!

Any one mentioned about getting on with your neighbors you don't need to be constantly going in for a cup of sugar, but stay friendly you never know when a favour might be called ;)

Hey Steve,

all the best for the new home, going home to your own home at the end of the day is a great feeling.

Andy

don't be too fast to rush in..
even though you have the keys it's not like you have a deadline to move out of your parents house..
you're losing half a month on the TV license for a start..
get any major repairs / alterations done while it's empty, such as any re-wiring, changing carpets, painting etc, it's all easier if you don't have to move furniture about and cover everything..
