There is no intellectual bankruptcy in asserting that there is such a thing as a "woman."

You are resorting to strawman argument. No-one is denying that there are women.
But we are also open to the possibility that your narrow definition (which you have failed to define other than it's a female adult) does not apply.

Since sex is real, not imaginary, a person cannot change it simply by uttering the magic words "I am a woman."

A person with cock and balls, male hormones and male chromosomes is not a woman, and will not turn into one no matter how much he wishes it.

If they wish to be recognised and treated as a woman, i.e they adopt the female gender, and it doesn't matter to anyone else, why should their wish not be respected, just because you believe that sex can only be binary, which is disproved by science, and non-binary sex is accepted in legal terms.

I notice you have avoided addressing the issue of transmen being accommodated in female prisons, or competing in women's sports.

And we are dealing with someone who insists on imposing his view on others, despite medical science proving him wrong.
He's entitled to his opinion, if it is his opinion, but when you pointedly refuse to accept someone for what they want to be, it's tantamount to ignoring their wishes and disrespecting them.
If I wish to be French, Vegan, Muslim or whatever, no amount of denial and refusal from A N Other that my wish should be respected will prevent me from being French, Vegan, Muslim, or whatever.

She already considers herself to be a woman. It's just that she might not have all the biological anatomy normally associated with the female sex, because sex is not binary, and nor is gender, as proven and defined by medical science, for the umpteenth time.

But just like when someone repeatedly argues that different races must exist within the human race, otherwise racism cannot exist, then people need to accept the blindingly obvious medical science, even if their faith or value ideology causes them problems.
