I'm in the need of some help please?.. I would really appreciate it.
So the electirc mira shower I have turns on and then after around a minute it turns off while beeping and the button light flashing. When I try and press the button on it will not start.
It will only start again once the isolation switch has been turned off and on again. To note this started happening around a few days before we noticed water coming through the ceiling where water has penetrated the sealant of the bath going next to the electrical wiring for the shower under the bath (the wires are insulated however so I don't understand why it's cutting out. I'm drying it out with a dehumidifier as we speak.
Any ideas as the why it's cutting out and what I can do?
I have already had the cover off and pressed air valve and water coming through ok with out it being turned.
Thankyou
Ian

Remove the spray head from the pipe and try running just the pipe into the bath, pressing the button - does it then work OK?

Wires are insulated, but it doesn’t mean to say that water hasn’t ingressed into the electrics.

Thankyou for helping so far
So i took the head off and it ran a similar time for about 1 minute and then beeped and then water stopped, light on front went out and nothing... Then I just turned the isolating switch off again.... Any other ideas... Thankyou
Ian

Could this resolve its self once dried out?
It could do, depends how wet it got. That said, I’d expect the mcb to trip. Which lights are on solid and which are flashing when it goes to fault?

The light on the front... The bright blue one which is the one and off button flashed from dime to bright and continues for about 10 seconds when the isolation switch is turned on then it remains blue.
Thankyou
Ian

Would you describe it as this?

Have you tried to re set the shower ?
Do you have a copy of the showers installation booklet ?

CBW that seems about right yes. The thing is that the shower then cuts off after 40 - 60 seconds.
What would the next step be in your opinion or as part of the service process

You can download the installation manual from the internet ,and it tells you what to do. From memory you press both buttons simultaneously ( keeping both pressed down together)you then hear a bleeping sound at which point you release one button ( think it's the stop / start one , but may be wrong), you then hear another bleep ,and release the other button.

Depends on the age, I think they’ve changed the design to just on/off.
