Non-clogging superglue bottles

I carry superglue in my rucksack. I might not use it for weeks at a time. Whenever I do go to use it, I find that the nozzle is normally blocked. If I have a drill to hand I use a 2mm bit to unclog it. If I don't have drill with me I cut the end of the nozzle off, clearly, I can only do that few times.

Does anyone make a small bottle of glue that doesn't clog if not used for a few weeks? Some are much worse that others, for example, the last one from Screwfix- the nozzle got stuck to the lid, unscrew the lid and the nozzle unscrewed and stayed in the lid.

I appreciate that it is a minor inconvenience (and a cheap product) but I don't want to have to carry a new bottle just incase the other is unusable. There is a limit to how much I can carry in my rucksack.

I suspect that I might be on a fool's errand. I tend to buy the 50g bottles, perhaps I should just buy smaller bottles and carry two if there aren't any alternatives that will work for me.

Thanks

I had a bottle of super glue gel, it never clogged up and I had it for years. I can’t remember what size it was.

But then, why would you need to carry open superglue around with you?

Pound shops sell 10 tubes for £1, open one use it, through the open one away. Open a fresh one next time.

I used to buy the packets of 4 from the Poundshop (never saw 10). I guess I most frequently use superglue for gluing matchsticks into door hinge/furniture holes (but not exclusively). The small bottles are very rigid though, ie not squeezable. Fine under gravity but not if you want to squeeze it into a vertical hole or surface. Additionally, the rate at which the glue comes out is pretty slow.

Good idea. I tend to use Mitre Mate for the same purpose - mainly because I almost akeays have some in my tool tote

I seldom have the time to wait for PVA type glue to harden before I can chisel off the excess "wooden plugs". I find the superglue works well, and it is fast. Admittedly, with the activator spray it would be even faster.

Unfortunately, I don't have space in my rucksack for a tote caddy... ;)

The tote is an indication of how many different tasks I've been expected to do on this job. It really isn't choice

I also user pound shop tubes. Mine are in a toothpaste tube like container so you can squeeze it out as fast as you like!
