Hi
Can anyone at all identify this old buried pipe I've just unearthed at the bottom of the garden.
Buried in about 12 inches of concrete / rubble.
The end has snapped off.... but its all still very solid.
This Seems to be some sort of "cap" which has been crimped around a brass? Fitting on its neck...this turns 360 but won't unscrew.
Off this fitting is a good 45-60 cm "strap" that was bent into a random shape and also buried.
At the end of the strap was 2 bolts /screws (or even rivets that have long since rusted), but potentially suggest that this was fastened to something in the past.
The house is 1905 era so literally could be anything.
Really need to be able to get rid of it to finish the last
Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.....
Cheers
