Gita Gopinath, the IMF’s chief economist, said there was “high uncertainty” over its forecasts.

They tend to revise forecasts 4 times a year as events overtake them.

The Germans bribed leading Greek politicians in the Greek government to borrow huge sums in order buy German military hardware.
The Greek Army ended up with more tanks than any other country in Europe.
