One for the epidemiologists on the forum.

Last week a colleague of my sister in law came in to her classroom to talk - she was really unwell, coughing and spluttering. Turns out she had Covid, also turns out she came back from a short break in Spain where she had been out clubbing every night.

My Brother-in-Law came back from a golfing holiday in Spain with his mate three or four weeks ago and they both came down with it. My sister then caught it too.

I'm due to go to Spain in a months time on a motorcycling fly-ride with 4 mates that was postponed from last October. I might give it a miss if things start getting worse.

I was in Austria a couple of weeks ago and they still had to wear masks to enter shops.

Upon entry to pubs and restaurants you had to supply evidence you were double jabbed with the certificate otherwise your not allowed in.

All very peaceful no one complaining, and everyone going about their daily lives as per normal otherwise.

That being said I was in Salzburg and that is not very population dense, although it's a city in Austria it's more like a town, not very population dense as say Liverpool or Manchester or even Southend (although it's not a city just yet)

So I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it

What an idiot.

Althouy didn't she have to do tests and stuff upon her return?

When flying back from Salzburg I stopped over at Palma, I was on Ryanair flight, as all the chavy Brits were exiting the plane none of them were wearing masks, the poor security guards had their work cut out, as soon as they were asked to put the mask on started mouthing off they don't have to, their exempt bla bla bla.

so Uk administering 4.7 million test per 1 million people which puts it around the top ten per population testing in the world so guess what thatis
going to result in

Oooh scary. You might catch a cold - have you ever had one? Every time I've been abroad I've had some minor stomach upset, cold or allergy. One gets over it!

Delta variant has similar symptoms.

anybody being considerate would stay at home.
And the following day she tested positive.

She teaches very vulnerable people with learning difficulties, one in particular has asthma, diabetes and is obese, in his 50s
