Hi,

We have one in our downstairs toilet that works fine apart from a bubbling? noise after it has stopped doing its pumping. Usually you can't hear it as the cistern is filling.....

There is very little vertical drop from the top of the unit under the floorboards where the 22mm plastic pipe travels through the joists with a slight drop to a connector on the internal soil stack about 3 metres away. The angled joints I can see are all 2 x 45 degree fittings to make 90.

Is the noise a concern?

Thanks.

Might the bubbling noise be more like water trickling down a plastic pipe? In which case it might have started syphoning water out at the end of the pump cycle. I would be concerned if it was connected to the toilet and sited below the floorboards.

Sorry, should also clarify that the unit is behind the toilet and the outlet drops below the floorboards. It does read really badly....

Ah, thats better, thought the pump was lower than the pan (seen it before). Still sounds like syphoning out at the end, is it a new install?

About 6 months ago. Cant say if its always done it and not noticed or just started.

Look up Saniflo,10 Golden Rules and as said run cleaner though it and the pipe.

Will sort out a clean. Interesting golden rules - our installation is basically as in the picture in rule 1.

Yep, thought was, seen it so many times. So are you gonna call the installer back or live with it.

I will be calling the installer back as he is going to be quoting for a new bathroom :) I assume its not going to cause any issues while I get him here?
