I have these floor tiles in my kitchen I'm looking to completely over tilethem and run through to another room that needs a bit of self leveller to reach that height.

Can you confirm it's OK to overtile?

I haven't done it personally but I know people that have over tiled. They used diamond blades in an angle grinder to scuff the existing floor first and then applied a slurry before using adhesive.

That's what I did to my quarry tiled floor that I self levelled over. Just thinking would height be an issue in any way? Also would you tile right under the existing kitchen units?

Personally, I would tile up to the legs of the units and all the way back to the wall where you have washing machines etc., assuming that you have no plans to replace the units and change the layout of the kitchen. One downside however is that if, for example, you had a leak under the kitchen unit, you would not see the water pooling on the new floor.

Hi thanks for commenting. The kitchen is being fully replaced.
