N. I. Protocol

The BA/GFA says otherwise.
The Protocol requires consent from both communities.
Anything other violates the Belfast agreement.

the majority of NI voted to remain

so brexit in NI is undemocratic it does not support the will of the people

or if you want to take the will of the people overall in the UK, well they voted for brexit and the protocol

and thus the DUP are not supporting the will of the people

So which is it??

We could have stayed in the single market
all solved

Not quite true, The majority of people who turned out to vote, voted remain. 38% of the electorate didn't vote.

so brexit in NI is undemocratic it does not support the will of the people

Not necessarily. See previous comment. Democracy applies to all - we will never know what the other 38% think.

or if you want to take the will of the people overall in the UK, well they voted for brexit and the protocol

Not quite true. Only 72% turnout with 52-48 for brexit. That leaves 28% who also have an opinion.

and thus the DUP are not supporting the will of the people

Again we will never know if this is true of false.

So which is it??

Which rather goes to show how meaningless the “will of the people” phrase actually is.

It does indeed.

The sooner people, and political parties start working together in some sort of alliance the better.
There is too much energy being wasted tearing lumps out of each other rather than working together to sort out these issues.

Have you not heard of populism? Boris founded his entire governance on it. It is a brand of politics that seeks to divide and sow discord.

There wont be any working together whilst we have the current government in place

Boris Johnson told the British public the whole of the UK would all leave together
Boris Johnson told the people of Northern Ireland there would be no border checks at all
Boris Johnson told the DUP "The Conservative government would never put a border between GB and NI
Boris Johns promised the ERG if they voted for the deal, after a year he would tear up the NIP and give them their "no deal"

So the Conservative government has to play an endless game of propaganda claiming all the above are true

The UK wont move on until some adults take power and deal with the issues with honesty

There wont be any working together whilst we have the current government in place
There won't be any 'working together' whoever is in power unless the archaic undemocratic electoral system of FPTP is consigned to the dustbin of history!

Did you stay awake all night working all the above out.
