Dangerous stupidity.

So this is what we have become as a society. We do the Police's job for them, and go around with our cameras happily snapping all things that offend us and all other's presumed transgressions are uploaded for "justice".

Just like the Twitter and FB mob, when they don't like a word you wrote and they are inclined to report you to the po-po.

A nation of snitchers, and a Police force that can't be bothered to do any Policing .... but you can upload your clips for review. :cautious:

Nothing to do with snitching. We all have a moral duty to uphold the laws of the land and report anything that transgressors those laws or if someone/something looks suspicious in the normal context. My case has nothing to do with being 'snap happy'. It is a tool to help me give evidence if a potential crime is about to be or is being committed.
Less than 12 months ago I was rear ended by a young driver not paying attention. His insurance company stated their client was innocent, (in a rear end collision? ), and they were disputing the claim. My insurers passed on my rear camera footage showing he was clearly fiddling with his radio/CD player or something, (basically he was not watching the road whilst going round a curve), and they immediately retracted their comments. Without that footage it may have been a protracted court case. Surely that is better than using taxpayers/car insurance premium money to argue the question of who was to blame? As diy says, the police can't be everywhere and if someone near me reports someone acting suspiciously, and that reporting catches a criminal or prevents and act of criminality then that is a good thing in my opinion.
How would you feel if your car was stolen/house broken in to and afterwards someone admitted to seeing someone behaving oddly in the vicinity but didn't bother to report it?

It’s become a breeding ground for saddos with nothing better to do.
reporting one person will of course change nothing, except make the snitch feel superior . Until a brick comes through the living room window.

There's two sorts of Snitch...... a good Snitch and a bad Snitch.... not to be confused with Snatch.

How many prícks speed in and out of traffic up peoples arses. Corse a crash and know nothing of the destruction they made..... because they have long gone.

I'm all for Snitching.

I'm relatively confident if someone knocked down and seriously injured or killed one of your nearest and dearest, and the police were having difficulty identifying who did it, you'd be thankful for anyone with dashcam or home cctv footage that captured the incident taking place.

No?

Joe Bloggs: Only a muppet drives below 30mph in these stupid 20 zones!!! I tailgate the f**kers to try and make them speed up :)

Police: Hello Mr Bloggs, we're sorry to inform you your daughter was killed today when walking home. Our initial investigation indicates the driver was driving at excess speed in the designated 20mph zone. We think maybe ~33-35mph. Even more sadly, our experience tells us had the driver been doing less than 30mph, your daughter would most likely have survived and, nearer to 20mph, almost certainly.

I wonder if Joe Bloggs would answer with ...

Ah well, mustn't grumble, I do it myself truth be told. Have a nice day officers.

Would you snitch if you saw car being driven drunkenly, swerving all over the road?

How do you know they drunk & not suffering a stroke?

This is still doing the rounds, well worth 1 minute of your time.

Don't be silly, this doesn't apply to many folk including some on here. Some say speed doesn't kill. Some say they don't need speed limits cause they're expert enough to judge the road and surrounding conditions, so can set their own limit.

Bear in mind people that say the above are also super-human. They are confident, should that unexpected thing happen (e.g. someone else making a mistake as per the video) that they'll be able to break and/or divert disaster by breaking the laws of physics.

So yeah, good enough video, but doesn't apply to all the super-duper drivers that think speed limits etc are for mediocre drivers.

Do you have someone you hold close? A partner? Children? Parents? If one of them was seriously injured or killed by a car swerving all over the road, what would you prefer if the police had no leads? That the driver goes free? Or that someone 'snitches' as you put it and gives the police vital information that leads to an arrest?

I've never had an incident, but I've seen lots in my rear view mirror . . . . :)

When I worked the recovery I stood next to & briefly chatted with a man who was sentenced to 5yrs in prison for what he did. I distinctly remember his wish to just turn that clock back a few minutes, to undo what he'd just done.

When you stood watching the aftermath, it is already too late to make amends.

Watch some of the compilation vids on YT of drivers and bikers losing it at people. Sometimes it's justified, often it isn't. e.g. someone evidently driving too fast along a road, someone pulls out from a junction and the person driving/riding too fast (like in the vid you posted) goes ballistic, jumping on the horn for 15 secs, revving their engine etc.

All the time oblivious to the fact it's THEY WHO ARE THE SH1TE DRIVER
